Job Overview:
The Equipment and IT Coordinator oversees the acquisition, deployment, tracking, and maintenance of equipment, tools, and IT systems across job sites and the corporate office. This role ensures that field teams have reliable access to essential machinery, devices, and software to support project timelines and operational efficiency. The coordinator prepares field technology such as iPads and iPhones for field and office employees as well as helps with minor functionality issues. They also help enforce company policies related to equipment usage, data security, and system access, ensuring compliance with safety and IT standards.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee the tracking and management of company assets, including tools and equipment on trucks.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory database, ensuring all items are properly tagged and recorded.
- Regularly conduct inventory audits to ensure accurate stock levels and the condition of items.
- Ensure proper configuration, setup, and provisioning of assigned equipment, including user access and security settings.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage to ensure timely returns, repairs, or replacements as necessary.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the IT department and other teams within the organization.
- Facilitate communication between departments to ensure IT needs are being met.
- Coordinate and assist with the set-up or move of employees, including new employees.
- Track IT's progress on trouble tickets to ensure employees are productive. Escalating issues when necessary.
- Configure, activate, and prepare iPhones and iPads for employees, ensuring they are correctly set up with necessary apps, email accounts, and security settings.
- Provide training or support materials on proper use, troubleshooting, and security measures for mobile devices.
- Manage mobile device security policies, including ensuring devices are enrolled in Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems.
- Offboard employees' devices by transferring pictures to the server, wiping to repurpose or recycle.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience:
- Proven experience in inventory management, IT support, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of mobile device management, specifically iPhone and iPad setups.
- Experience with inventory management software or asset tracking tools.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, troubleshooting, and basic software/hardware configurations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with various departments.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Skills & Competencies :
- Familiarity with MDM solutions like Apple Business Manager.
- Basic knowledge of networking and IT systems.
- Experience with helpdesk support or IT troubleshooting.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time, office based.
- Occasional local travel may be required to job sites or other non-office locations
- Rarely exposed to extreme cold or heat, and a moderate sound level.
