Copywriter

A Copywriter at 5 Stones works collaboratively with the rest of our agency team to serve our growing list of Catholic clients as a member of the Creative Team. A copywriter does this by writing copy for digital and print experiences that aim to find, convince, convert, and engage our clients’ audiences—making work that is good and true become winsomely beautiful .

Because we are a small and agile team, this role requires creative adaptability and comfort in the not-perfectly-clear. While we can’t script what each day holds, we are certain this team member will need to be…

• Able to deliver consistent results across a large spectrum of project types, including but not limited to brand messaging, landing pages, email campaigns, digital advertising, sales collateral, product packaging and descriptions, direct mailing pieces, social media, and more
• Naturally curious and unafraid to take a calculated risk on a new idea
• Ready to dive into new projects they haven't done before and learn new skills
• Able to work collaboratively with clients, account managers, project managers, designers, marketing managers, and developers to write, proofread and edit copy with precision and consistency
• A confident and enthusiastic communicator
• Able to balance quality, time, and budget to produce the best possible work on every project
• Creative with an appetite to explore ideas outside of the box
• Open to receiving feedback and direction from team members and clients without taking it personally
• Humble and aware of their deep goodness and dignity as a beloved child of God

Location

We believe that the culture and community of 5 Stones are critically important to our mission of serving clients and helping our employees thrive in every aspect of their lives. For this reason, we strongly prefer this team member to be located onsite in Sycamore, Illinois (60 miles west of Chicago).
