Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Conflicts Analyst for an opportunity with a large law firm This position requires direct, hands-on experience clearing conflicts of interest —not simply routing or reviewing reports. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of the conflicts clearance process from analysis through resolution, working closely with attorneys, partners, and the Conflicts Counsel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently review, analyze, and clear potential conflicts for new client and matter submissions across U.S. and international offices.

  • Evaluate detailed conflicts reports to identify and resolve potential issues before new business is accepted.

  • Collaborate with Conflicts Counsel, supervising partners, and other staff to ensure prompt and accurate conflicts clearance.

  • Manage conflict reviews and resolution for updates to existing matters and for potential lateral hires, providing clear summaries and recommendations.

  • Establish and maintain ethical screens in accordance with firm policies and communicate with global conflicts teams as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records of consent and engagement letters and update firm databases accordingly.

  • Support quarterly client/matter closures and assist with other risk management initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience clearing conflicts in a large law firm —hands-on involvement is essential.

  • Strong analytical skills with a meticulous eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with attorneys and staff at all levels.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with large databases and conflicts software (Intapp Open, AgilePoint Workflow, or similar) preferred.
