Job Description

Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Datawarehouse / MSSQL + Azure Database Administrator to support a long-term project. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SQL Server administration, Azure database management, performance tuning, and high availability solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage SQL Server databases across dev, test, and production environments.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and availability of databases.
• Implement and maintain database security standards and access controls.
• Design, implement, and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and query optimization using T-SQL.
• Monitor and resolve database issues proactively.
• Implement and maintain HADR solutions like AlwaysOn, Mirroring, Replication, Log Shipping.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support application and infrastructure needs.
• Maintain detailed documentation and follow ITIL processes.

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in SQL Server DBA + Azure SQL environments.
• Deep understanding of performance tuning, security, backup & recovery, and monitoring.
• Expertise in HADR (AlwaysOn, Replication, Log Shipping).
• Strong T-SQL scripting and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change).
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
