This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Legal Counsel. In this crucial role, you will join the US Legal team and manage day-to-day legal matters pertaining to content production across the US and Canada. Your expertise in contract drafting and negotiation will facilitate a seamless and compliant operational framework. You will be key in driving the legal strategies and policies that align with business goals, all while working in a fast-paced digital environment. This position presents an opportunity to make a significant impact as you navigate complex commercial agreements and support rapid business growth.

Accountabilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements (e.g. MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, etc.) to support various business functions.
• Lead negotiations of contract terms in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
• Analyze and mitigate potential contractual risks.
• Collaborate with global legal counsel to develop contract policies and commercial strategies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries.
• Deliver internal training on legal and commercial processes.
• Support post-merger integrations as they relate to commercial processes.
• Identify areas for improvement within the legal function and drive new initiatives.
• Provide comprehensive legal guidance to the global commercial team.
• Stay informed on industry regulations and adapt commercial processes as required.
• Engage in diverse legal projects supporting the North American and Global Legal team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in commercial transactions.
• Experience in digital advertising, content, and media.
• Attention to detail in all legal matters.
• Strong knowledge of digital content, entertainment, and commercial law.
• Readiness to tackle tasks in varied legal domains.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for conveying legal concepts.
• Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, changing environment.
• Eagerness to stay updated on regional legal developments.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with diverse teams.
• Licensed attorney in good standing or ability to obtain necessary registrations.
