Job Description

Amro Music is seeking an organized and knowledgeable Print Music Manager to oversee our print music department at Amro Music in Memphis, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music, excellent communication skills, and previous experiences in music, education, and/or retail. As the Print Music Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory, projecting stock needs, working with publishers to place orders, equipping Amro's sales team to be successful, and assisting music teachers and institutional customers with their print music needs.

This position is an Amro Director Services team member, working closely with schools, music educators, and educational representatives across the Mid-South.

Pay for this position includes an hourly rate plus commissions based on sales volume. Benefits include paid time off, health insurance, 401(k), and more. Pay for this position starts at $19.00/hour plus commissions.

Job responsibiliites Include:

• Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels of sheet music, method books, and other print music materials.
  • Place orders with suppliers to ensure a well-stocked selection of print music.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies.
• Customer Service:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in finding the right print music for their needs.
  • Answer questions about different musical genres, composers, and specific pieces of music.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special orders in a professional and timely manner.
• Visual Merchandising:
  • Maintain an attractive and organized display of print music materials in the store.
  • Create visually appealing signage and displays to highlight featured composers, genres, or promotions.
  • Regularly update display areas to showcase new arrivals and seasonal offerings.
• Sales and Marketing:
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase print music sales and revenue.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote print music through online channels, social media, and print advertisements.

Attributes of an exceptional candidate for this position include:

• Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of different musical genres, composers, and print music publishers.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
