Career Opportunity: The Spartanburg, SC plant is seeking experienced machine helpers to join our production team. Pay Rate: $23.09 Shifts available: 2nd shift 1p-9p How You Will Impact WestRock: * Support the operation of a fast-paced manufacturing facility. * Maintain general knowledge and understanding of production processes and equipment. * Observe and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed. * Follow all standard operating procedures and instructions relevant to the job, position, and department accurately. * Perform routine adjustments during the production run and maintain production throughout the run. * Perform all assigned work effectively and on schedule. * Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with all safety regulations. * Contribute to quality investigations when necessary. * Perform other job duties as assigned. What You Need to Succeed: * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience in a high-volume setting. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Ability to read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills. * Ability to lift, push and/or pull 50 lbs., navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift. * Ability to communicate effectively with other employees and management. * Maintain good attendance.
