Lead Fire Alarm Technician / Foreman
We're looking for an experienced Lead Fire Alarm Technician / Foreman to take charge of the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems on commercial and industrial projects. This role requires both hands-on technical expertise and strong leadership skills to oversee crews, coordinate with project managers, and ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, and to code.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of technicians on fire alarm installation and service projects.
Install, program, and commission fire alarm systems and related devices.
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to ensure proper installation.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and inspectors to maintain project schedules.
Enforce site safety standards and ensure all work meets NFPA and local code requirements.
Provide mentorship and training to junior technicians.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fire alarm systems as needed.
Qualifications:
4+ years of fire alarm installation and service experience, with at least 12 years in a leadership or foreman role.
Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and local fire alarm codes.
Hands-on experience with major brands (Honeywell, Edwards, Silent Knight, etc.).
NICET Level 1 certification or higher.
Ability to lead medium to large crews for fire alarm systems installation.
Ability to lead crews, manage workflow, and communicate effectively with clients and contractors.
OSHA 10/30, lift certifications, and ready to test for a NICET 1 certification.
