Farm Equipment Operator (2464)

Farm Equipment Operator position available on 10,000 acre family farm in Northwest Kansas. Primarily dryland wheat, corn, and grain sorghum with one central pivot. The operation uses the latest John Deere equipment, has a heated shop that is kept well organized and clean to increase efficiency. Owners are looking for individuals who have a love of farming and are self-motivated. The operation also runs 300 to 400 head of steers that are out on grass from March to August. The owners respect their employees and have a history of low employee turnover. Salary based on experience. Housing, utilities and insurance provided. Two week paid time off per year.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Will operate the newest John Deere technologies, including, GPS, yield monitoring, field mapping, sprayer and fertilizer application.

QUALIFICATIONS
� Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL and a private applicators license.
� Must be self-motivated person with the ability to think and work independently.
� Basic knowledge of cattle is preferred but not required.
� Should have knowledge of GPS and guidance systems
� Some light mechanic skills
� Welding experience a plus.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Two years of experience operating and maintaining modern farm equipment, including, semi-trucks, sprayers, planters, combines and drills preferred. Will train the right person with less experience.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED
