The Cath Lab Technologist provides technical and clinical support during cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and vascular procedures. The technologist assists physicians throughout diagnostic and therapeutic cases, manages imaging and hemodynamic equipment, and ensures accurate documentation and safe workflow in the cardiovascular laboratory. This role requires strong technical competency, attention to detail, and the ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist physicians during cardiac catheterization, angiography, EP, and interventional procedures.
Operate fluoroscopy systems, hemodynamic monitoring equipment, and cardiovascular imaging devices.
Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for scheduled and emergent cases.
Maintain sterile technique and manage instrument handling throughout procedures.
Monitor and document physiologic and hemodynamic data in real time.
Support patient preparation, positioning, and monitoring before, during, and after procedures.
Collaborate with nursing, cardiology, radiology, and anesthesia teams to support patient care.
Maintain equipment functionality and report malfunctions promptly.
Assist with supply management, room turnover, and workflow efficiency.
Follow all radiation safety, infection control, and departmental standards.
Perform other duties within scope as assigned.
ARRT(R) and state licensure OR RCIS OR RCES required.
Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab preferred.
Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
Current BLS (AHA) certification.
Current ACLS (AHA) certification (required within 30 days of hire).
Proficient computer skills.
Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
Certification required (as listed above).
Day shift: 0730 1700 .
Monday Friday scheduling based on departmental needs.
