Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and collaborative environment within the Information Technology industry. The role requires a proactive individual who can manage vendor accounts, reconcile statements, and ensure efficient processing of payments. Responsibilities: - Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct coding and timely payment. - Handle account reconciliations and vendor statement reviews to maintain accurate financial records. - Manage payment cycles, including ACH transactions and check runs, while adhering to deadlines. - Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth workflow. - Utilize accounting systems, such as NetSuite and Quickbase, to manage accounts payable processes. - Perform clean-up tasks on vendor accounts to ensure data integrity and compliance. - Communicate with remote team members and vendors to address inquiries and resolve issues. - Assist in maintaining vendor contracts and deciding on appropriate service agreements. - Support the onboarding and training process for new departmental procedures. - Contribute to overall departmental efficiency by identifying areas for improvement. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role. - Familiarity with accounting systems, preferably NetSuite and Quickbase. - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of transactions. - Proficiency in handling ACH payments, check runs, and invoice coding. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Ability to reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. - Effective communication skills for working with remote team members and vendors. - Quick learner who can adapt to new systems and processes with minimal supervision.
